About Moonlit Scribes

A gathering place for people who write while the world sleeps.

You write every word. Nothing you write is used to train AI. Your stories stay yours.

Why we exist

Some of the best writing happens late at night or before dawn, when the house is quiet and the words finally come. It can also be the loneliest time to write. Moonlit Scribes is a home for writers of the quiet hours: novelists and poets, and people writing their life stories for the people they love.

Moonlit Scribes began with a simple belief: the hours when the world is asleep are some of the best for writing, and no one should have to spend them alone. I'm a writer myself, with a screenplay that has placed in several contests and earned strong evaluation scores on The Black List, and a couple of books in progress, mostly written in the quiet hours. Moonlit Scribes is the company I wished I'd had at the desk. I'm building it carefully, alongside the people who join first.

What we believe

How Selene works

Selene is our muse. Her gifts on the home page (Spark, Unblock, Ritual and Keepsake) use no AI at all. Talk with Selene is an optional preview powered by OpenAI under terms that don't allow training on your writing. She asks questions, listens, and offers feedback only when you ask for it. She never writes your words, and Moonlit Scribes doesn't save your conversations.

Privacy

We collect as little as we can: your email if you join our list, and anonymous visit counts. We never sell your information. Anything you write with Selene on our site stays in your own browser unless you choose to share it. Read the full privacy policy.
